Dear Friends and Readers:

     Happy March!  I have 2 great friends who have birthdays in March and it's the month that Ben and I met so it's always a party this time of  year.  The Irish in me says party anyway for St. Patrick's Day.  I wish you happy memories, and all the luck you can get.  Spring is in the air, and that means rebirth.  I look at writing books in much the same way, it's like having babies, only the pain is in my head more than my body.  

     The last couple of months have seen a lot of changes in our household, literally.  We've settled into a house nearer to our kids so that's a bonus.  It's interrupted my writing though, being obsessed with You Tube videos and telling my husband, "I'm pretty sure I can do that."  Luckily, Ben is knowledgeable enough to know how not-knowledgeable I am.  

     The new book is REALLY late and I apologize for that.  Between the house, and an unexpected fall, I'm having to redo my whole writing schedule for the year.  Sad right?  I don't think so.  It seems like an opportunity.  

     Are You Wearing Clean Underwear?  The Misunderstandings of a Local Advice Columnist is truly a labor of love.  I'm an admitted advice columnist, to whom no one really listens to.  It's kind of funny, and I took that feeling and incorporated it into the book.......hopefully.  I love Harper, she's our leading lady and secret advice columnist Ms. Meddles.  She's like an onion, a lot of layers and a lot of people really underestimate her.  That's what I love about writing, I know the character's secrets.  Of course, there has to be a bit of a bad gal, and that was fun too.  Braxton Williams, a take on our adopted son's name, is our leading man and he's that kind of All-American successful sports guy.  The fact that he and Harper have known each other for a long time, was really interesting to me as well.  And, of course, the people who write to Ms. Meddles.  Now that, was fun.  I had a good long time to make a list of inane and solid "complaints" from the readers.  Funny how we see what pushes our proverbial buttons.  

     Anyway, I hope you'll take the time to read the book when it is released, scheduled for March 25th.

     After my longest titled book, we're working on projects that will be taking us into other genres.  I've wanted to spread my writing wings and work on a suspenseful book, one of my projects is called Desperation.  It's true in every essence of the word and so much more cutting than what I normally write.  It is certainly not for the faint of heart and paints our leading characters in a very "gray" light.  You want to root for them, but can't quite support their means to an end.  

Anyway, our family hopes your spring is in full bloom.
